After Operation Cobra, Monty transferred the divisions of the Eighth Corps and the Thirtieth Corps in the sector of Caumont for an attack launched 30th July, thereafter known as Operation Bluecoat. The British losses were very high facing the Tiger and Jadgdpanther elite German forces. This detailed study is supported by numerous photos, maps, and testimonies hitherto unseen, and the marching journals of the units. 1,000 photos, maps, and documents, partially in colour.
