Overview
-

The Medal of Honor is the highest military decoration awarded by the United States government. It is bestowed on a member of the United States armed forces who distinguishes himself "conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while engaged in an action against an enemy of the United States", yet because of the nature of its criteria, the medal is often awarded posthumously.

Medal of Honor is an account of the eight aviation recipients of the award in WWI, including Eddie Rickenbacker, who was the highest scoring U.S. fighter ace of the war, Frank Luke, second highest scoring fighter ace, Charles Hamman, and Francis Ormsby, including artwork profiles and photos of the pilots.

Rickenbaker, also a racing car driver and the first to be coined “Fast Eddie”, and the exploits of his fellow aviators during World War I are covered here completely, with the bravery and sacrifices made in order to receive this prestigious award recounted in thrilling and vivid detail.
